Identity Theft Assistance Center (ITAC)

 

There are many benefits of being a client of RBC Bank - our method of protecting you from fraud and identity theft is just one of them.  Working with our partners in law enforcement agencies, we take a proactive approach to client protection.

As a member of the Identity Theft Assistance Center (ITAC), RBC Bank works with the center to streamline an identity theft victim's recovery process.

Our partnership helps reduce the time clients spend investigating and trying to resolve identity theft issues.  Upon completion of a case review, RBC Bank Loss Management refers clients to ITAC, which will:

  • Notify financial institutions owning disputed accounts or that have made credit inquiries without the client's knowledge
  • Work with law enforcement to investigate and prosecute criminals
  • Assist clients in regaining financial identity
