Second Annual RBC Bank Pro Challenge Set for December 3-4, 2011 at IMG Academies Golf & Country Club

Raleigh, N.C. - November 16, 2011 – FESM (Florida Event & Sports Marketing) is gearing up for the Second Annual RBC Bank Pro Challenge scheduled for play December 3-4, 2011 at the IMG Academies Golf & Country Club in Bradenton, Fla. This year’s format will be two-man best ball (day one) with two-man scramble (day two), with prizes totaling $30,000. Weekend events will also include a competition showcasing area high school golf teams, a trick shot expo, golf clinics, giveaways and more.

Registration for the tournament will remain open until November 23 with entry fees at $375 per person or $750.00 per team. The winner’s purse is a $10,000 minimum. Attendees will be granted free admission with the donation of a non-perishable food item, and donation and food proceeds will benefit the Food Bank of Manatee County.

Already confirmed this year are players from the Nationwide Tour, Canadian Tour, Hooters Tour as well as next year's PGA Tour. This year’s event will be held at the beautiful bay front IMG Academies Golf & Country Club, adjacent to the world-renowned IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy.

Event Schedule

Saturday, December 3

8:30 - 10 a.m. – Players will tee off from 1st and 10th tees.

10 - 11 a.m. – “High School Shootout” featuring local high school golf teams in a closest-to-the-pin shooting competition on the driving range. Each team will have two members attempt 3-5 shots to be the closest to the pin. The winning player’s high school will receive a $500 donation for their golf program. Second place will receive $300 and third will receive a $200 donation.

11 a.m. - 12 p.m. – "Chuck the Hit Man," a local personality who has appeared many times on the Golf Channel, will be holding an amazing trick shot exhibition on the driving range.

12:30 - 2 p.m. – Players will finish up their first round.

Sunday, December 4

8:30 - 10 a.m. – Players will tee off for the second round.

10 a.m. - 12 p.m. – Professional golf clinic at driving range.

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Club fitting and demonstration at driving range.

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. – The Tampa Bay Lightning Mobile unit will be on site providing a variety of giveaways for spectators.

12:30 - 2 p.m. – Players will finish up their final round.

3 p.m. – RBC Bank award presentation with $10,000 check to the winners.
