RBC BANK NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF PRIVATE BANKING STRATEGY
Karen Troy Brings more than 20 Years Experience to Bank’s Strategy Team
RALEIGH, N.C. – Jan. 22, 2009 – RBC Bank recently announced the appointment of Karen Troy as director of Private Banking Strategy for RBC Bank.
In this new role, Troy will lead the creation, design and execution of RBC Bank’s private banking strategy. In her more than 20 years of financial services experience, Troy has held various positions in global private banking, international services, client management, business development, administration and sales. Troy most recently served as director of Global Solutions for Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Global Private Banking, in New York City. She was responsible for building a network of international professionals and service providers. She also managed the relationships between RBC and professional advisors to help develop and implement a strategy for cross border banking.
“With more than two decades of banking experience, seven of which have been involved in serving the affluent markets in the U.S., we know that Karen will be a strong leader for the bank’s private banking strategy,” said Tracy Stevenson, RBC Bank executive vice president for Products, Marketing and Strategy. “She has been a key member of the RBC family for more than 14 years and we’re excited to have her here in Raleigh.”
Troy holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of British Columbia as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst Designation. She will be based at RBC Plaza in Raleigh, N.C.
