White will lead the bank's HR activities

RALEIGH, N.C., August 18, 2007 - RBC Centura Bank recently appointed Angela White to lead the bank's HR activities throughout the six-state footprint as vice president of Human Resources, based out of Raleigh. She will oversee all aspects of HR including recruitment, benefits, diversity programs, compensation, M&A people integration, performance management, training & development and talent management.

White, who has been with the bank since 2003, most recently served as regional sales manager, Personal and Business Banking in Atlanta. Prior to working with RBC Centura she worked for IBM for 13 years.

When asked about her work philosophy, she lists discipline and responsiveness, but also emphasizes teamwork.

"I take into consideration the views and interests of my team," said White. "I strongly believe that I can learn something of value from everyone."

Originally from the Caribbean island of Dominica, White graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto with a degree in business. Her involvement in both the InRoads Program and Junior Achievement directly reflects her interest in developing talent, which is one of her core focuses in Human Resources. She is also a 2006 graduate of Leadership DeKalb. White will be relocating to Raleigh with her husband, Richard, and their son, Nathan.

White replaces George Mount who has been named vice president, Core Operations for the bank. In this role, Mount will oversee Loan and Deposit Operations, Treasury Management Support, Wire Room/ACH, Collections, Commercial Loan Service Center (LSC), Appraisal Center and Operations project management.
